Recently got this for gaming purposes on the go, either for travel or while watching kids in another room. Main purpose going legion was for their thermal design and reduced heat temperatures. Granted I run on lowest graphics, ran games from WoW to Escape from Tarkov, and even with tarkov ran smooth and with a super slim cooler fan (aka weak fan), no heat at all. Exactly what I was looking for. I got 32gb version.I don't need max graphics on things. Needed a laptop that runs games smooth and not overheat and this definitely can do that. I took a gamble and it paid off. Battery is at best 2 hrs, but gaming limits down to under 30min is only downside (so keep plugged in), but I'll take that con for the pros. for the price.This is a great laptop for gaming but not for vr gaming. The 1650 is to weak of a graphics card to support the average vr game but if you are not looking for a vr laptop and don’t want to spend to much this is the one for youThis laptop is definitely one of the greatest purchases I could make. I upgraded to 16gb of ram and can comfortably play fallout 4 and 7 days to die with temperatures/fan speeds warm/unnoticed. The set up meets 97% of recommended system reqs on can-i-run-it... on a 15 inch! It can basically handle any game.Highly recommend upgrading to 16gb of ram. I did this after markert. Had he local shop help me unscrew the laptop and install a crucial 2x8 3200mhz cl22 kit. Did it maybe three days after getting the laptop, noticed a bump in start up time and gaming buttery smoothness.You can stop looking. This is the best bang for your buck laptop you can buy. Add another 8gb to make it 16gb total and it'll stand next to damn near any desktop PC. If this is going to be a daily driver, gaming 3-??hrs a day, invest in a laptop cooler. The screen isn't 144hz, big deal, get an external monitor and game like a man. The reviews kinda dog the screen wayyy more than necessary, but that is mostly for photo/vid editor types, and if that's what you're after buy a Mac. Yet, the screen is still good enough on the go, but like I said, if you're gaming buy an external monitor. It's a great investment and it's portable. glhfThis is a great little budget level gaming laptop. It can run everything I play at highest settings (haven't tried the newest AAA titles or anything). No problems with overheating on either the CPU or GPU. Upgrading the ram and putting in a second M2 SSD was pretty easy but had to do a google search to locate them as they're hidden under a heat shield and 2.5" SSD bay respectively. Absolutely thrilled with the performance vs price balance with this machine.Overall laptop is nice however screen is not very bright....but the major issue is the warranty. Lenovo only covers the warranty from time of manufacture NOT your purchase date. For example brand new purchase and only have 9 months left on the warranty........An awesome budget gaming laptop, nice 120 Hz screen, nice built, a very nice white backlight keyboard, a very fast computer. The deliver was very quickly and comes before the date the provider offer. I bought 2 of the same model Legion 5 for my teenage daughters and they are very happy with the laptops. Studies, graphic design and gaming performs smoothly.
