The chips are a high quality butt,,,, every body who sells chips as a rule sells them in stacks of 50. In small print they put sleeves of 25. Im so very disappointed at the quantity of only 25 chips. For the same price I should have went with the Blank chips in stacks of 100. My mistake for trusting someone to deliver quality and quantity at a fair price. The chip is molded nicely. The edge stripes fit well with the rest of the chip (not misaligned like the King's Casino chips with the wheat pattern). The Greek pattern runs flawlessly through the edge stripes. The "clay composite", whatever it is actually made of, is a tad softer than the hard ABS plastic used for the various dice design chips branded as DaVinci and doesn't have that high pitch metallic ring when it drops (though it still has a metal core). The chips grip each other just a tiny bit, unlike the DaVincis which like to slip off of the stack. I don't have any real full-clay pro chips to compare these too, so I can't say if they are a good alternative. I can only say that I like them the best so far.The only thing that really stinks is the printing on the sticker. The number is sharp and solid, but the rest looks like a magazine print, with fairly low-res dots used to fade edges and control color saturation. They obviously tried to fade the blue and yellow background trees, and the result from the printer is a really lame spotted pattern.I ordered both a Desert Heat set and a Bluff Canyon set. The edge shadow on the Bluff Canyon sticker has a more gradual fade and the speckling is not as obvious. It might just be the nature of the Bluff Canyon design that this does not seem as annoying (that pattern actually makes a detailed tree graphic look better, while the intended flat silhouette of the Desert Heat looks bad with the spots). However, what I like about the Desert Heat chips is that there is no firm concentric design to the insert. All chips (even some real ones) have some inserts which are not printed in the exact center, and that makes any circular border or text look bad if it is off by even a quarter of a millimeter. The Desert Heat design is non-circular (except for the faint shadow), so there is no obvious correct precise position and none of the chips look glaringly misaligned.I just doesn’t work. The chips are great. Just throw away the plastic before you get any bad ideas. They are nice lookin and feeling cheques, but order more than 25Looks great, feels great, plays great.
