Xbox One use review.I have purchased 3 of these headsets. Two for me and one for a friend. They have only been used on Xbox one series consoles and so far after over a month of use they are working well. I can hear others clearly and my party members can hear me clearly.Occasionally an echo will develop that others hear of their own voice. Through troubleshooting we have found if I reseat the 3.5mm plug or twist it a bit to ensure a good connection that has cleared the issue.Overall, I like the headset. It provides very little clamping pressure and the foam ear pad is thinker the. The Microsoft one and I don’t develop any hot spots. This will be my go to chat headset unless some one else can come out with a better single ear chat headset that exceeds this one.Been used on an Xbox One X, OG Xbox One and a stock controller and a series one Xbox Elite controller. As an avid gamer, I needed a comfortable chat headset that was affordable to replace the PS4 earbuds. These caught my eye. They were $8 so why not. I'm glad I did, everyone in chat says they can here me better than before. I hear them just fine. They're not stereo they're mono, which was what I wanted. I have a small head so they are still big for me, there's a lot of adjustability for larger heads and room for people who where glasses. Build quality is ok not great, all plastic, but what I expected for the price. Headband is loose not tight, which I like, feels very light on your head. It fits on the ear not over, which is good for long gaming hours. Volume and mute control is easy to reach. You can wear them on left or right ear by swiveling the mic to either side. Be careful when moving the mic, it's a little tight grab from the base and not the mic you could break it. Don't how long they will last but worth a shot. They work really well the only problem I had was the didn't work with my controller. You don't want to bother synching your bluetooth headphones to your desktop? This headset is for you. This is not a headset for music listening, but rather works grest for Zoom calls. It makes answering a call on your desktop faster because you don't have to turn it on and wait for it to connect. NEVER needs batteries. Basic plastic material that wil handle normal use.I wish I still had mine to add pictures but my cat destroyed the cord. Of all the cheap headphones I’ve ever owned, this is the one that sets the bar.The microphone is surprisingly sensitive (in a good way). The cord was strong and didn't give any feedback if it moved. It was also very comfortable for the longer sessions.I’m probably going to buy this again. Also, just because it says “PS4” doesn’t mean you can’t use it for the Xbox. A mic is a mic.EDIT: I bought it again. Still a great mic.I wanted something that was closer to the original PS4 headset that comes with the console because I don't have the luxury (nor the desire) to tune-out my surroundings with an over-the-ear headset when I'm gaming. This headset works great. Fits big heads well. No one on the other end has complained. There's an inline volume control with mute (mutes you) switch. The plug secures firmly to the controller. That was actually an issue with another brand. I used to have to keep holding it in so I wouldn't disconnect or get variable volume/communication problems.Edit: after using it for a month, the stem that holds the mic has started getting loose, causing the mic to drop. I have to keep forcing it back into the hole it secures to.After ordering and using this headset for a few weeks, I am very happy to have it. This is NOT a headset you use to play competitively. It's NOT something you would generally want as your main headset. That said, I have some amazing Turtle Beaches and after a few hours of competitive gaming, they get a bit uncomfortable. When I switch games to something not as intense, I immediately switch to this headset to give my ears a rest and still bs with friends. It's very comfortable imo and my friends have actually said I sound better than when I'm using my much more expensive headset. For the price it's a great pick up for when you just want to talk to friends or it isnt very responsible to block out the world with a big headset (such as when you're watching the kids or waiting for an important call).I use this for my Xbox One X and have zero issues. The volume on the headphones is pretty good but could be louder. Remember, these are not sound isolating, so you would benefit from a higher volume. After using these for a while, adjusted well, they are comfortable, lightweight, and pretty good. I wish it had a longer cable.Pros:Mic Mute buttonVolume controlLightweightCons:Short cableHurts my head just a littleEDIT: 2 months into my purchase, its showing signs of failing on me. The earpiece abruptly stopped working (that too in the middle of a Zoom call; just my luck) and I had to fiddle the wires a bit to make it work again, albeit temporarily. Looks like a loose connection or something. Anyway, its lying lifeless in a corner of my study, and I have a feeling its going to end up in the dumpster soon.I still stand by my original review, but I am revising my overall rating from 4 stars to a generous 2 stars - only because it served me well during the two months it worked properly. Its microphone is still great, and as long as you don't receive a defective piece, I reckon you'll be well served by this accessory.Original review:-I bought this headset mainly for the microphone, as I felt that the in-built microphone on my laptop wasn't good enough for my video conferences. And on that front, its really worth every buck and then some. The microphone is solid, and picks up your voice really well. You can lean back and speak with ease, without worrying about varying voice input. And because its quite adjustable in terms of its positioning, the mic should work for most users. Its equipped with a single 3.5 mm connector, combining both mic and earphone capabilities into one jack. However, do note that it is not a noise-cancelling, directional mic (and to be honest, I would have been surprised if it had either of those features, given the price), which means it will not try to cut-off ambient noise. Tough luck if your keyboard is noisy. However, with Zoom's noise cancellation feature, this wasn't a major issue with me. If you tend to breathe heavily into the mic, then you must consider picking up another mic/headset with dedicated noise cancellation features. What is yet to start growing on me is the mono-headset. I wasn't expecting stellar audio from the earpiece, to begin with, which is why I am not terribly disappointed. Make no mistake, this is suited for voice calls. You needn't be an audiophile to understand that these are not meant for music. But what I am not comfortable with is the idea of mono-headsets. I mean, I'd rather have audio input through both my ears than this single earpiece set up, if I am using a headset, and not a phone. It just doesn't feel natural. Then again, this is my personal preference, and it has no bearing on my appreciation for this product. The headset comes with in-line volume controls and a mute switch. They both work fine, although I see little use for them, personally. Given that this has an open-ear design, I wish the earpiece were louder, although its definitely serviceable in its present form. In fact, I suspect that if the earpiece were any louder, it would interfere with the operation of the mic, especially since the latter lacks any ability to filter out ambient noise.I have not had occasion to use this with a PS4, so I can't speak for its usage as a gamer's chat device. I am inclined to believe it will work well with your DualShock PS controller. As for the headset's fit around your head, its fine. The band is adjustable, and you needn't worry about this thing slipping off your head, although I guarantee it will mess your hair up. And for those of you wearing specs, prepare to re-position them every time you wear the headset.I'm satisfied with the product. It does what it says, and given the price of 800 Rs, it is a bargain. I am, however, not sure if I'll continue to use this product for its lifetime, and I say that only due to my utterly personal preference for stereo headphones. I sifted through the listings here for a stereo version of this Amazon device, and if its there, I haven't found it, and I give up. All in all, go for it if you know the limitations of this device.Volume is so low, hardly can hear, even after removing the sponch. Never expected from Amazon basic. Got it for conference calls. Disheartened with the product. Not worth the money paid. Just lazy to send it back. In fact might just throw or give it to my toddler kid to play.I bought this due to pandemic where I need to start working from home. I have to be on the phone with client all day. After a few months of using it, I can finally write a review about this product.Let's start with the PRO. The mic is clear, I can hear the client clearly. It's light weight.Move on to CON. Echo is a big issue. You have to set the volume to really LOW in order to avoid the mic picking up the sound from the headset. The soundproof is poorly done. If an headset that would easily trigger echo, it's basically useless...In conclusion, cheap price doesn't give you good quality, don't waste your money just like me.The speaker is there only on onside, useless product. Unfortunately for me its too late to return this.Bought it for voice and video calling with my office computer . The mic on and off button on the wire comes in very handy and can mute and unmute the mic from the headset itself . I like the functionality of this headset, however I still think the build quality could be a bit better . It’s a plastic headband which can break if used for long time . Overall a good buy , recommended for calling purpose . Noise cancellation is good.
